Shoe bomber Richard Reid has spoken for the first time about why he attempted to blow up a jet and murder the 198 people on board.
The 32-year-old terrorist, who is serving a life sentence in a US jail, showed no remorse or regrets and put his failure to commit the atrocity down to the "will of Allah."
"I am not crazy as they suggest, but I knew exactly what I was doing," he said. "Of course I would have been sad to have those people die, but I knew that my cause was just and righteous. It was the will of Allah that I did not succeed."
That mean ol' Allah - playing a nasty trick like that on him.
