Personal Observations From Today's Campaigning

This morning as I was preparing to head off for work, I was watching a little bit of Fox's morning news show. They interrupted their program and went to a live feed of President Bush speaking at a campaign event. Bush was upbeat, funny, and very positive as he talked about his plans for a second term.

A few minutes later they cut to a Kerry rally and what a difference. Kerry was intoning about how terrible things are, and how America has basically become the world's armpit thanks to Bush. Just based on seeing those two speeches, I don't see how anyone could seriously think Kerry was the better candidate.

What's going to happen tomorrow? I'm still going with my previous prediction (made on Sept. 30), though I may be too generous with a couple of states. Then again, the way this thing has gone, it could swing hard to Bush and my prediction of 313 electoral votes could be too small. We'll see.
