Blogger Gathering

My wife and I had a great time yesterday at a lunch meet-and-greet with a bunch of other Southern California Christian bloggers. We had a mix of folks in attendance, both young and not-so-young, and some could best be described as Godbloggers (those who spend most of their blogging energy on Christian topics), and guys like me; Christians who blog. The Godbloggers are probably a more focused bunch as opposed to the rest of us who are likely to wander down whatever road our minds or interests take us.

Here's a photo of the gathering. The tall guys like me always get stuck in the back.

Stacy Harp of MediaSoul put this thing together, and I appreciate her doggedness in staying after this bunch and making it happen. I'm sure it was like herding cats to get us all in one place at one time.

Among the bloggers we had a couple of pastors, some Biola students, and a bunch of other business folks who blog because their addicted to it, but haven't figured out how to make a living at it. Here's the roster of attendees (hat tip Dale for all the links):

The big bloggers get all the attention, but I'd encourage you to read these folks as well. You never know when one of us local folks will have an "Ah Ha!" moment and post a different and very interesting viewpoint on a particular subject. As soon as I get my new blogroll set up, I'll add all of these blogs so you can easily located them again.

I didn't to talk much to every one of the bloggers present, but did have some good conversations with several of them, and though coming from varied backgrounds, we have a good deal in common. I'm sure you'll enjoy reading their views on a regular basis.
