Taking Heat

Former Bush Administration press secretary Ari Fleischer has a brand new book out about his days in the White House. The book is called "Taking Heat", and is sure to furrow some brows among the lefty media. Ari takes no prisoners when talking about the liberal bias in the White House media.

I love these behind-the-scenes looks at White House life, and you can order the book by clicking on the link above.

The Washington Post has a review here, but of course like most Washington media, they aren't too fond of Ari or his former boss. You can almost smell the bias in the review. I especially like the line where it says he now "makes speeches for cash" - as opposed to what? Fruit baskets? Making speeches for cash is all that Clinton has done since he left office, but I don't see any smarmy remarks about that in the Post.

Thankfully, Ari has decided not to follow the examples of other former Bush officials, such as Richard Clark or Paul O'Neill, who realized that their only hope of getting anyone to read or promote their book was to be highly critical of the President. The press and the talking head shows just love to bring former Bush staffers on to blast Bush. Ari isn't going to go down that road, and will probably lose sales as a result. Good for him!

I'm ordering my copy - this should be a good read.
