Baseball Bat Murder Update

Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks he did it:
A 13-year-old boy was charged Thursday with murder for allegedly killing a 15-year-old with a baseball bat in front of dozens of people following a youth league game in the desert city of Palmdale.

The alleged assailant, whose name was not released because of his age, is accused of striking Jeremy Rourke twice with the bat, once in the knee and again in the head, said Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Ron Smalstig.

The boy, who has been in custody since the attack Tuesday evening, will be tried as a juvenile because no one under 14 can be tried as an adult in California, Smalstig said.

No charges were brought against the "community".

For some reason my earlier post on this subject stirred up a hornet's nest of people who thought me cold-hearted and cruel because I dared to point the finger of blame AT THE KID WHO COMMITTED THE MURDER, instead of taking the more touchy-feely approach of trying to psychoanalyze him and "understand where he's coming from" or what his "backstory" is. What crap.

Please take your complaints to the Los Angeles County District Attorney. He's the one with the power to charge him with murder, not me.
