I've been treated to a rare air show here in Mission Viejo as for about 30 minutes there has been a pair of Navy F-18 fighters circling south Orange County at about 5,000 feet. Since El Toro closed it's unusual to see military jet traffic in this area.
It reminds me of the "sound of freedom" that we used to hear quite often when El Toro was in operation.
