Just to further demonstrate how far left the Democratic Party has slid, DNC Chairman Howard Dean has endorsed a socialist to be Vermont's next Senator, replacing former RINO and current Independent Jumpin' Jim Jeffords. Aren't there any Democrats in Vermont that want the job? I would have thought that there'd be lots of them wanting to move up in the political world. How happy are they going to be now that Dean has endorsed someone who isn't even a member of his party?
The socialist of choice is Rep. Bernie Sanders, Vermont's lone House member who can be counted on to vote with the Dems on every issue. But that begs the question of party loyalty. What if a Dem comes along who wants to run in the primary? Will Dean cut off his funding or otherwise discourage a member of his own party to run for the position?
Thank you, Howard! The GOP will soon begin beating you about the head with this endorsement.
