Dems Don't Expect Tough Questions From the Press

Brit Hume had a funny item in the "Grapevine" segment of Special Report yesterday regarding a press availability that the Dems staged with key Dem Senators and Howard the Donkey. Howie was on the hill so the Congressional Dems could show him a little love after his recent rash of stupid comments. Fox News reporter Brian Wilson, who covers Capitol Hill, made their experience less pleasant than they expected....he actually asked some tough questions and the Dems didn't like it. Here's how Brit reported it:
Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin complained about the aggressive questions from reporters at today's Capitol Hill event with DNC Chairman Howard Dean and Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid. He singled out FOX's Brian Wilson especially, telling other reporters later that Wilson "owned that press conference. He owned it. YOU should be ashamed."

He also called Wilson "a big moose." Wilson, who stands 6 feet 4 inches and weighs over 250 pounds, denied being a moose, insisting he is much more of a gazelle.
The Dems canceled another presser that had been scheduled for later in the day with Howie. Apparently meeting with the press wasn't the joy they imagined it was going to be.
