I just got back from attending th 8th grade graduation for HolyCoast son, and with that marks the end of another school year. I'm not sure who's happier about the end of school - me or the kids. I still have to go to work everyday, so my routine doesn't change in the summer, but the kids and Mrs. HolyCoast will have most of the summer off.
I know there are some parents that hate the summertime and having the kids around the house all day, but I love it. The stress level in the house goes down markedly when there's no more homework projects and early morning classes to worry about. It's a good thing.
Starting August 22nd marching band season will kick off again, and for the first time we'll have two kids in high school and both in the band. It'll be a busy fall, but for now, summer's hear and everybody can take it a little easy.
