Lance Armstrong has methodically gone through this year's Tour de France with a very businesslike attitude, and today, he won the final individual time trial, his first stage win of this year's event. With this win, the Tour is effectively over.
Tomorrow the pelaton will wander around Paris and finally end up making a few laps on the Champs de Elyse before the official end of the tour. The guys purposely don't race each other this last stage and everyone ends up with the same time, so as long as Lance finishes the race, he'll win his 7th straight Tour.
Congrats Lance, and happy retirement (I'm sure it will be a happy retirement for all those other guys that would like to win one of these things someday).
