Husband Stealer Didn't Get A Bargain

I'm not normally a fan of lawsuits, but I have to admit, here's one I approve of:
A Fayetteville woman has won a $550,000 judgment against another woman she said stole her husband.

Court records said Tyshia Johnson lives in Arizona with Alphonso Scott. But Scott is the husband of Threnia Scott, who filed the lawsuit.
Apparently the aggrieved ex-wife sued on the basis that the loss of her husband resulted in financial damages, and won a big judgement.

Think about it - if someone breaks into your house and steals all your stuff, you will suffer a significant financial loss, which may or may not be offset by insurance. It's not uncommon in those cases for the convicted crook to be required to pay restitution along with his jail sentence.

If someone comes along and steals your husband, and especially if that husband contributes a significant amount of your financial support, you too will suffer a financial loss, and now the court is paving the way to get the money back. This could put a real crimp in the adultery business.

I wonder if a Hollywood lawsuit will be next? Brad Pitt left wife Jennifer Annistan for actress Angelina Jolie. I'm sure Pitt was contributing a significant amount of money to their marriage, so should Annistan sue for damages? Why not? This could be the start of a whole new area of family law.
