Fonda Decides to Park the French-Fry Bus

This will be a big disappointment for Hanoi Jane fans - she's canceling her antiwar "french-fry" bus tour that was scheduled for next March (from Fox News):
Jane Fonda told me yesterday she's scrapped plans for anti-war bus trip next March. As well, Fonda will be making only two appearances this month on another rally with controversial British politician George Galloway, not the eight that were widely misreported in the press yesterday.

Why the change of plans? Certainly, Fonda is still very much against the war in Iraq and in favor of helping our troops there. But she said that she didn't want to distract people from Cindy Sheehan's bus trip, already under way and gathering support.
Whose bus trip is already under way? Oh, that wacky Sheehan woman who used to sit in the ditch in Crawford. What with all the death and destruction in the South, I guess the press has forgotten to cover that tour because I haven't seen or heard anything about that ninny since Katrina arrived on the scene. If she can't fight her way back on the national stage due to the hurricane, I doubt if Fonda's trip would have helped or hurt her.

Fonda will be making two appearances with the notoriously anti-American British MP George Galloway. I'm sure they'll be perfect together.

First the Pope dies the week that Fonda's new book comes out and kills her publicity, and now a massive hurricane hits about the time she's making plans for her bus tour. I don't think God likes Jane Fonda.
