I'm back from three great days singing in Colorado, and as soon as I catch my breath I'll try to catch up on the news. I haven't looked at a computer since 5am on Saturday morning, so it'll take a little while to get up-to-date.
Saturday night I got back to the hotel in Colorado Springs and found out that Chief Justice William Rehnquist had passed away. I figured things would start getting pretty exciting, and sure enough, just before we left for the airport this morning the president nominated John Roberts to Chief Justice. I'm guessing they'll have to talk Chuckie Schumer down off the Capitol Dome.
This should be fun.
