A great many folks in the blogosphere are incredulous at the plans to honor the victims of UAL Flight 93 which crashed in Pennsylvania with this:
The design, which features a red crescent of trees with the crash site in the center look remarkably like the symbol of the Red Crescent Society, the Islamic arm of the Red Cross. It also closely matches the symbols found on the flags of many Islamic countries.
Somebody had to be significantly tone-deaf to come up with this one. I'll bet the design changes before too long.
Don't forget the Discovery Channel show this weekend - The Flight That Fought Back, a recreation of the events of Flight 93.
