McKinney is constantly making racial charges or supporting various wacky conspiracy theories, and her latest piece of legislation certainly doesn't enhance her resume:
Rep. Cynthia McKinney, D-GA, has introduced a bill to provide for the "expeditious disclosure of records relevant to the life and death of Tupac Amaru Shakur," the rapper murdered in Las Vegas in 1996.Tupac, who could be more appropriately called "Onepac" have being shot in the groin during a previous assassination attempt, was executed by his gansta' rappin' brothers in Las Vegas in 1996. Leave it to McKinney to assume that this convicted felon who ran with a murderous crowd was killed by the government, rather than by the brutal thugs who made up the gansta' rap business at that time.
The bill has been referred to the Committee on Government Reform and Committee on Rules.
Afenia Shakur, Tupac's mother and a former member of the Black Panthers, is reportedly supporting the effort.
McKinney and Tupac devotees say they believe Shakur was under surveillance by the FBI and other governmental agencies at the time of the murder.
In 1996 the East and West factions of the rap business were having an all-out war, and Onepac was just another of many victims of that war.
The bill won't pass, but I say go ahead and open up the files. If nothing else, it will keep McKinney busy for awhile.
