Harry Reid Has Been Possessed by Michael Moore

The incredible disintegration of the mental state of the Senate Dem leadership continued unabated today with Harry Reid's latest incoherent rant against the Bush administration. Said Harry, channeling the rotund spirit of Michael Moore (ht Hugh Hewitt):

"The manipulation of intelligence, to sell the war in Iraq, Vice President Cheney is involved in that. The White House energy policy, that puts Big Oil ahead of the American consumer, Vice President Cheney is behind that. Leaking classified information to discredit White House critics, the Vice President is behind that. Halliburton, contracting abuse, the list goes on and it goes on. Certainly America can do better than that."

I didn't include the part where Harry blamed Cheney for the Lindbergh baby kidnapping, and for shooting J.R.

Reid, Schumer and Durbin are clearly nuts, with the three of them demanding that President Bush state that he will not pardon Libby, or anyone else in the administration. It is apparent that MoveOn.org is now calling all the shots in the Dem party.

Here's my idea - issue a pardon to Reid, Schumer and Durbin. It would infuriate them, and would be an appropriate blowback.

It's time to take the gloves off with these guys. The "new tone" obviously hasn't worked, and it's time for the White House to go to war. Every prewar statement in support of the war made by the Dems should be trotted out, including those made in support of Bill Clinton when he started bombing Iraq in 1998. Dems seem to make pronouncements believing that their words cannot be recorded and therefore can't be thrown back into their faces. It's time to start slinging it back.
