Howard the Donkey Has a Plan (but he won't tell you)

The Dems have become the party of the anti-Bush, and that's fine as long as Bush is on the ballot. Oops, he won't be on the ballot again which means the Dems have better start coming up with a reason to vote for them other than "We were misled, vote for us". Dem National Committee Chairman Howard the Donkey was asked by Tim Russert to explain to the American people why they should vote for Dems, and this is what he had to say (from Best of the Web Today):
Russert: What is the Democratic position on Iraq? Should we withdraw troops now? What do the Democrats stand for?

Dean: Tim, first of all, we don't control the House, the Senate or the White House. We have plenty of time to show Americans what our agenda is and we will long before the '06 elections.

Russert: But there's no Democratic plan on Social Security. There's no Democratic plan on the deficit problem. There's no specifics. They say, "Well, we want a strong Social Security. We want to reduce the deficit. We want health care for everyone," but there's no plan how to pay for it.

Dean: Right now it's not our job to give out specifics.
Boy, I'm inspired - how about you? It's not going to be enough for the Dems to run on Bush hatred in 2006. If they want to try that route, go ahead. It worked pretty well in 2002, 2003 & 2004, didn't it? And what about 2005 when the Dems went on to hold two governorships they already had. That's what passes for a Dem victory these days.

C'mon Howard, let's hear what you've got. I can't wait.
