The prestigious school of music at Yale University announced that it had been given a 100-million-dollar donation to allow it to subsidize fully the tuition of the entire student body.By the way, the tuition at the Yale School of Music this year was $23,750. Next year it will be $0. That's my kind of school.
The gift, the largest in the history of the music school, came from a donor who wished to remain anonymous, Yale President Richard Levin said in a statement.
"This generous gift will enhance the ability of the school to attract the world's finest musicians and will support a number of important advances at the school," Levin said.
"Everyone who is part of Yale's standing as a great center for the arts will be inspired to reach new heights," he added.
Fully subsidized tuition for all students, including those already enrolled, will begin in the 2006-07 academic year.
