The ACLU is constantly riled up about one thing or another when it comes to protecting Constitutional rights. Why is it then that the ACLU doesn't care that the New York Times, Washington Post, or other media are attempting to deprive Americans of their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by printing our government's war strategies on their front page? I don't recall seeing any articles describing al-Qaeda's plans, but they have no compunction about running ours.
Is freedom of the press more important than freedom of the individual? Apparently so, at least as far as the ACLU is concerned.
Scrappleface takes a humorous look at this serious subject. As with all humor, there's an element of truth here that's worth thinking about.
