McKinney Goes on Offense (or Becomes More Offensive - Your Choice)

Rep. Cynthia McKinney is a six term Congresswoman from Georgia who refuses to wear the gold House pin to identify herself as a member of Congress, and instead expects everyone to recognize her and grovel accordingly. She has a history of obnoxious acts toward underlings...especially if they're white. White people are apparently supposed to avert their gaze when she approaches and not speak unless spoken to. She's a classic racist, and were the skin colors reversed, she wouldn't be able to get a job as a dog catcher. However, her district in Georgia has no problem electing a diehard racist since they sent her back to Congress with 62% of the vote.

After slugging a Capitol Hill policemen the other day (just another in a long line of boorish behavior), she has now gone on offense and is playing the race and victim card all at once:
Her lawyer, James W. Myart Jr., said, "Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans across this country, is, too, a victim of the excessive use of force by law enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin."

"Ms. McKinney is just a victim of being in Congress while black," Myart said. "Congresswoman McKinney will be exonerated."

A spokeswoman for U.S. Capitol Police did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Members of Congress wear identifying lapel pins and routinely are waved into buildings without undergoing security checks. McKinney was not wearing her pin at the time, and the officer apparently did not recognize her, she has said.
Spare me. In addition to her lawyer, she has also secured some Hollywood support, which is bringing no end of laughs to the GOP:
Actor, Danny Glover was expected to appear at an early-evening news conference Friday with McKinney at Howard University.

That gave Republicans material to keep the criticism flowing.

"Rep. McKinney appearing with the star of 'Lethal Weapon'? Not exactly the message you want to be sending," said Ron Bonjean, spokesman for House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill.
This is not the first time she has assaulted others who dared to confront her, but it should be the last time she does it without being charged.

UPDATE: Just a few more thoughts on this. Thanks to McKinney's idiotic race card defense, she has almost guaranteed that she'll be charged with a crime. Had she simply apologized and shown a little humility, the cops might have dropped the whole thing. However, now the cops are in a box. If they refuse to file charges, it will be suggested that there was a racial motive behind the incident, or that they've been intimidated into silence. They almost have to file a charge now, if nothing else, to defend themselves against these bogus charges.

By the way, McKinney has been involved in no less than 5 previous cases similar to this, and once complained about having to be cleared to enter the White House by "white people".

As one wag put it: "At least she's not blaming the Jews this time."
