For the NASCAR-impaired, Mooresville was the home of 7-time champion Dale Earnhardt, nicknamed "The Intimidator", who drove the #3 car for Richard Childress Racing. Teresa Earnhardt gave permission to the fire department to use the same stylized #3 that was used on Earnhardt's cars.

No fire will want to see this truck coming.
