Times Twins Scrambling to Regain Credibility

How bad is it for the Times Twins (L.A. and N.Y.) these days? They've had to resort to a joint defense of the indefensible by both editors. You can read it for yourself, but basically it's more of the same old "we did it because we can" type of logic. The fact that Americans may die because of their actions just never occurs to them.

Larry Kudlow shared some of the reasons the Times Twins are scrambling right now while being interviewed on Hugh Hewitt's show on Friday. Kudlow was asked about the effect on the bottom line of the Times due to giving away national secrets:
Killed 'em. Killed 'em. You cannot believe the intensity of anti-New York Times feeling. Killed 'em. You know, we sent a guy, Cody Willard, who's a contributor to our program, and we do this little cam thing. He goes out and interviews people on the street, and I had him ask the question about the Times. People are furious. We did a poll, investor class poll on it, and people were just...80/20 against the New York Times.

The Times Twins might have gotten away with giving out one secret (the NSA phone tapping story in December), but I don't see how they'll recover their standing in the public eye after this one. Their excuses for publishing are just way too lame, and the new hazards they created for Americans are just too dangerous.
