In California's gubernatorial race, a new SurveyUSA poll shows Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) defeating challenger Phil Angelides (D) by double digits, 52% to 38%.Angelides was a bad choice by the Dems. Steve Westly would have been a much tougher candidate. Angelides is such a stereotypical liberal it won't take much effort to keep him in his place - 10+ points down.
Key statistic: "Schwarzenegger leads 30:1 among Republicans and 2:1 among Independents. 17% of Democrats cross over to vote for the Republican Schwarzenegger."
