Dems Activate 24 Hour Delay on Their Selective Outrage

Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez gave an infantile speech at the UN yesterday which we covered previously here. Republicans were outraged at the conduct of Chavez and the juvenile name calling and America-bashing that made up his speech, and many of them commented on that within minutes of the speech.

The Dems, however, have 24 hour delay on their selective outrage because that's about how much time it takes to check the flash polls and other public opinion sources so they can decide what they believe. After reviewing the overwhelmingly negative reaction to Chavez' Bush and America bashing, and fearing that the president might benefit from the blowback from average Americans who don't approve of foreign tinhorns criticizing their president, the Dems decided they better get on board before momentum gets away from them. So today, two of the most prolific Bush bashers in the Dem party made half-hearted defenses of the president.

Yes, Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rangel, the same people who have referred to Bush as a modern day Bull Connor, or compared him and his policies to Hitler, suddenly found Bush religion and came out in defense of "El Diablo". What hypocritical nonsense. These people don't believe what they're saying - they're only saying it to try and score some cheap political points.

Why do you think people like Chavez feel free to come to America and in front of an American audience slam the president? It's because he's been watching what our own Dems have to say through their politicians and supporting media sites, and based on that, why shouldn't he join in the fun and slam the president too? After all, if the Dems can root for the defeat of Bush's policies (and therefore the defeat of America), why can't Chavez do the same?

Nobody's buying the Dem act, because everyone knows that's just what it is...an act.
