Theme Parks Launching Scary Season

It's time for the theme parks to fire up their Halloween stuff. For 30 years or so Knott's Berry Farm has been transformed into Knott's Scary Farm, and with a heavy emphasis on ghouls and gore. My kids love it and for the last two years my daughter's birthday wish has been to take some friends to the Knott's extravaganza (she's going again this year).

For the first time in its 51 years, Disneyland is joining the Halloween fun. Their approach, of course, will be more family friendly than the guys with axes sticking out of their heads that you'll see at Knott's. It opens tonight, and I'll give you a first hand report tomorrow. We're going to head over there to check it out tonight after work.

The LA Times writes today about the new emphasis on Halloween, and you can read about it here.
