Unlike President Bush who has only used his veto power once in six years, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has to use his on almost a daily basis to keep the wacky liberal legislature in check. This year he has vetoed three different measures which would have required the homosexual agenda to be taught in our schools to kids as young as kindergartners, he's vetoed a bill that would have allowed a public television station to ignore the highest bidder rather than sell to a Christian organization, and has now vetoed the bill that would have required all of California's electoral votes to go to the candidate who received the majority of popular votes on a national basis, rather than just in California.
He has let some dumb ones through, like the bill eliminating moral codes at schools, and the global warming bill, but all in all, he's done a pretty good job of negating the efforts of the left to totally destroy the state. Thanks to inept competition in his reelection bid, we'll have another four years of a governor who does the right thing most of the time, and in this state, that's a huge victory.
