Was Foley's "Victim" Actually an Adult?

Drudge has this up on his site:

A posting of an unredacted instant message sessions between Rep. Mark Foley and a former congressional page has apparently exposed the identity of the now 21 year-old accuser...

ABC RELEASED TRANSCRIPT OF CHAT BETWEEN FOLEY AND A MAN WHO WAS 18 AT THE TIME OF THE INSTANT MESSAGE EXCHANGE.... NETWORK GAVE IMPRESSION MESSAGE WAS TO 'UNDER AGE' TEEN... DEVELOPING...

ABC ONLINE GLITCH LEADS TO IDENTITY OF FOLEY ACCUSER; FEATURED IM EXCHANGE WAS WITH 18 YEAR OLD

If true, this raises more questions about ABC than it does about Foley. A 54 year old guy hitting on an 18 year old is still creepy, but if the kid was in fact 18, he was not "underage" as alleged by ABC, but was in fact an adult, and possibly a consenting adult. Why would ABC misreport the guy's age? Could this all be part of the Dem dirty trick campaign, a campaign which has now suffered a potentially major setback?

UPDATE: More on the story here. ABC is scrambling and saying that the IM's in question occurred both before and after the guy's 18th birthday. We'll see.

UPDATE: The fake blog that started the whole story.
