We're always the first in the neighborhood with the Christmas lights up, and since I started this blog I've always included a post with the lights (for reference, here's 2004 & 2005 UPDATE 2007). Here we go:
No, that's not Casa de HolyCoast, but Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland. We stopped by there today for a little shopping and dining, and I snapped this picture on a cool but very pretty day.
On our way down Main Street we decided to stop and watch the Christmas parade so that Mrs. HolyCoast could see her favorite skating snowflakes.
And now to the lights. Here's the 2006 edition of the front of the house. Anything new? Yes, the five glowing orbs in the tree were added this year. I'm still looking for a couple more colors, so I'm hoping there will be one or two more up there in the next few days.
As you walk up the front walkway, you encounter another blizzard of lights in our Norfolk Pine Tree and surroundings.
At the top of the stairs (and visible through the big picture window) we have our lighted garland banister and the big wreath which thankfully lit up without any problems this year.
At the bottom of the stairs on the entryway table are two of our three Victorian villages (the third one probably won't make it out this year).
There are lots more things throughout the house, including the 9' tree-from-a-box with bunches of lights and ornaments on it. We're still finishing up everything, but Christmas has definitely arrived at our house.
