US Enemies Give the Dem Majority Two Thumbs Up

Over the last couple of days there has been a parade of America's enemies gloating over the Democrat's victory in Tuesday's election. Iran, al-Qaeda in Iraq, various Iraqi terrorists/militia leaders - you name 'em, they're all lining up to shake hands with the new Speaker and Majority Leader. Apparently the Congress, under the GOP and President Bush, has been a little hard on these guys and now they're looking forward to an easier go with the Dems controlling Congress.

IraqPundit makes a good point about all of this new praise for the Dems:
Doesn't it behoove the Democrats to correct the claim that their ascension to power is good news for the enemies of the U.S.? . . . Democrats don't have a party position on what to do in Iraq. But surely they have a party position on whether they want to be embraced by the likes of Al Qaeda and Iran. Don't they? Speak up, Democrats, or Al Qaeda and the Iranian mullahs will find your silence only too eloquent.

Don't expect any blowback from the Dems. If there's one thing they're very careful about it's being critical of their allies.
