Up to the Snow

I had an appointment today 6,000 feet up in the mountains in east San Diego County, and that area got about 4 inches of snow over the weekend. Us California flatlanders don't get to see much snow (unless we drive up to it) and since it was such a beautiful day, I snapped a few shots:

It was 31 degrees when I got to my destination and there was just enough wind to cut right through you. I'm not used to that kind of weather. In Southern California if it gets below 60 they close the schools.

I know you midwesterners are laughing at me for getting excited about a little snow, but you have to remember that the last time it snowed in the area where I live was in 1933, and even that didn't last long. One of the blessings of living in this area is that within a two hour drive you can be in a snowy alpine setting, a desert, or the beach.

And unlike you poor midwesterners, we can also get away from the snow if we want.
