- Governor Schwarzenegger is remaking himself as a big time environmentalist. On the same day that story ran, the Governator broke his leg skiing. It's funny how often the environment rises up and smacks environmentalists.
- The Weird One is making a comeback. Look for Michael Jackson in a Vegas casino very soon.
- A poll suggests that 2/3rds of Brits are anti-religious. I guess if there were a bunch of members of one particular religion in my country constantly scheming to blow me up, I might tend to become anti-religious too.
- The shooting war is off and running between Somalia (largely radical Muslims) and Ethiopia (largely Christian). This has big time potential to spread across Africa.
- The UN slaps sanctions on Iran. Big deal.
- He Don't Feel So Good - soul singer James Brown dies at 73.
- Too Much Money, Too Few Ferraris - the Wall Street bonuses and the impact on the luxury goods market.
- John F'ing Kerry official embraces flip-flopping.
- A couple is caught following a UPS truck and stealing gifts as soon as they are delivered.

While We Were Away...
