It's the Rick Warren election —Romney cited Purpose- Driven evangelical Rick Warren twice tonight extemporaneously, Obama and Brownback have been to Warren's church...Andy Jackson of SmartChristian considers this "playing the religion card". Could be. I wonder how long until Hillary and McCain stop by the Lake Forest, CA campus.

The Rick Warren Election?
It used to be that Republican presidential candidates cited Ronald Reagan when they wanted to prove their conservative bona fides. Now it looks like it's Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church and author of Purpose Driven Life. Kathryn Jean Lopez of National Review made this note about Mitt Romney's speech at the NRI Conservative Summit in Washington DC:
