WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The House Democratic leadership circulated the language of its non-binding resolution condemning an Iraq troop increase Monday, a day before the chamber is scheduled to begin debate on the measure.
"Congress disapproves of the decision of President George W. Bush announced on January 10, 2007 to deploy more than 20,0000 additional United States combat troops in Iraq," the measures states in part.
Each member of Congress will be given five minutes to speak on the resolution beginning Tuesday.
I, for one, think it's a good thing when the House spends its time on useless resolutions rather than passing bad legislation that ends up costing me money. Therefore, I encourage as much debate as possible on this meaningless exercise.
