The Village People (my term for the Dem '08 candidates) lost their cowbell player today when former Iowa governor Tom Vilsack became the first casualty of the '08 campaign...10 months before the Iowa caucuses. That's got to be a record for the earliest withdrawal.
I don't think anyone seriously thought Vilsack would be able to get above the Hillary/Obama/Edwards noise
