A bird appears to have flown into and damaged the engine of Vice President Dick Cheney's plane as it arrived in Chicago Friday morning.
As of noon, mechanics were inspecting the plane to see if repairs are necessary and if the plane can return to Washington. The plane landed safely, and no one was hurt.
The DailyKos, Code Pink and MoveOn.org will reportedly hold an online wake for the bird who they view as a courageous freedom fighter.
