Blades of Glory

I hadn't planned on going to see the latest Will Ferrell movie after some of the early reviews were so-so. I was afraid it would be another Talladega Nights, which had some funny moments, but certainly wasn't a laugh riot.

Well, I gave in to the family and went to see Blades of Glory tonight, and it was genuinely funny throughout the entire movie. I've seen enough figure skating in my time to appreciate the humor in the whole premise. The performances were all pretty good and although Ferrell is often over the top, he still makes it work. It's not a 6.0, but a strong 5.7.
