ETD

An emailer at The Corner offered a term invented by his father that I think will have widespread application in the coming election:

My father coined the acronym ETD, for "Ego-Talent Discrepancy". He was a
composer, so he mostly applied ETD to the world of contemporary music.
(Jay will tell you that that's not hard.) John Edwards is demonstrating
that it has wider applications ....

The emailer's father, Gerhard Wuensch who recently passed away, invented the term and I think it's brilliant. It certainly explains John Edwards, and probably Barack Obama as well.
