Today's Celebrity Justice Headlines

The Juice gets squeezed for 11 counts including 7 felonies:
LAS VEGAS — O.J. Simpson was charged Tuesday with seven felonies, including kidnapping, in the alleged armed robbery of sports memorabilia collectors in a casino-hotel room.

The fallen football star was arrested Sunday on suspicion of assault and robbery with a deadly weapon. Clark County District Attorney David Roger filed those charges and added kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, according to court documents.

Simpson, who faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted, was charged along with three other men authorities believe barged into a room at the Palace Station casino and stole sports memorabilia from two collectors.

He is being held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

I would have guessed he'd probably get off until that audio tape surfaced. If it makes it into evidence, this case won't go well for the Juice.

The next Los Angeles celebrity to get off from a murder rap took another step in that direction:
LOS ANGELES -- On their seventh day of deliberations, jurors in the Phil Spector murder trial indicated today they are at an impasse, and the judge in the case said he may allow them to consider a reduced charge against the music producer.

Without indicating which way the jury was leaning, the jury foreman told the court the panel was split 7-5 after taking four ballots, and said he doubted any further instructions from the judge would break the deadlock.

"At this time I don't believe that anything else will change the position of the jurors based on the facts that are in evidence," the jury foreman said.
L.A. has a history of failing to convict celebrity murderers (O.J., Robert Blake, etc). It looks like Spector will be the next one.
