Comedian Recycles Old Gag - Runs for President

There's absolutely nothing new about this:

Stephen Colbert — who announced plans to run for the presidency, though only in South Carolina, on his Comedy Central show Tuesday night — is serious enough about the stunt that his staff reached out to the state’s Democratic and Republican committees in advance of his declaration.

I'm sure Colbert thinks he's quite clever, but this stunt is not exactly original. In 1968 I had a "Pat Paulson for President" bumper sticker stuck on my little red wagon. It had this logo on it:
Pat ran a number of times and was far funnier than Colbert ever will be.
