HolyCoast Mom sent this photo over to me after she received it from a friend. I'm not sure who took it - I don't remember seeing it in the media so I can't give proper credit, but it's an impressive shot of what the Santiago Fire in Orange County looked like last Tuesday night. I believe that's Rancho Santa Margarita Lake in the foreground:
It looks closer to the lake than it really was. The fire was a couple of miles east of the lake but did threaten a lot of homes in the Foothill Ranch area.
Last night was the first night all week the moon didn't have a red hue to it. I think the smoke is finally moving out of the area.
