Just How Stupid is Harry Reid Anyway?

Pretty stupid. Even after the phony "phony soldiers" controversy was totally discredited this weekend, Stupid Harry still took to the Senate floor today to denounce comments that Rush Limbaugh didn't even make in the context as presented by Reid and his puppeteers at Media Matters. If you must, you can read his insipid remarks here.

Reid is also offering a letter to the CEO of Clear Channel in an attempt to force an apology and other sanctions against the Rush Limbaugh Show. I've taken the liberty of preparing a reply for the CEO to Sen. Reid.

October 1, 2007

Sen. Harry Reid, Senators-R-Us, Washington, D.C.

Dear Sen. Reid:

I read in total amazement the letter you sent regarding statements purportedly made by Rush Limbaugh regarding "phony soldiers". As the weekend progressed, I did something that you apparently didn't do - I researched the issue to find out exactly what Mr. Limbaugh said and in what context he said it. That effort seems to take more intellectual honesty that you possess, as you clearly made no effort to research the issue for yourself but instead relied on lies and distortions offered by a left wing George Soros-sponsored smear outfit.

Sen. Reid, you should be ashamed. You feign support for our troops while proclaiming the war in Iraq a lost cause. Your party continuously seeks ways to ensure defeat in Iraq by insisting on unrealistic withdrawal dates. You, Sen. Reid, are the phony.

Please just shut the hell up and stop bothering me with this drivel.

Sincerely,

Mark Mays, CEO, Clear Channel

Mr. Mays - you're welcome to use this letter if you like with my compliments.

UPDATE: Rush calls Harry Reid out. Will the gutless piece of human debris answer the challenge? I wouldn't bet on it.

UPDATE 2: A resolution is introduced in the House praising Rush and honoring his long commitment to our military. Take that, Harry.

UPDATE 3: Sen. Tom Harkin, in an apparent effort to sink even lower than Harry Reid, states that "maybe Limbaugh was high on drugs again". Let's review a little about the wisdom of Tom Harkin.

If you go to film of the famous "Dean Scream" on the evening of the Iowa Caucus in 2004, you'll see Harkin yucking it up in the background as Dean gives his final "yeeeaaaarrrrghh!". Harkin had endorsed Dean. A great judge of talent.

And, moving back to 2002, it was Harkin who turned the Sen. Paul Wellstone memorial service into a political rally and drove me to make my first ever political contribution - $100 to future Sen. Norm Coleman who beat the antique Walter Mondale who had replaced Wellstone on the ticket.

Oh, and from Instapundit, Harkin has his own "phony soldier" problems.

Harkin isn't worth his weight in Iowa pig poop.

UPDATE 4: In case you didn't hear Rush put his "phony soldier" comment in proper perspective, here he is from his own show last week:
