Romney's Credibility Problem

The Log Cabin Republicans, a group of gay Republicans, has targeted Mitt Romney with a pretty devastating ad which shows the Mitt of the 1994 Senate campaign and allows the viewer to make his own comparisons to the '08 presidential candidate Mitt:

Say what you want about the Log Cabin Republicans, but the ad does raise some questions about Romney's commitment to various issues important to conservatives. Has he really changed in his thinking, or does his thinking change according to electoral needs? The jury's still out on that one.

In another piece Jay Cost addresses Mitt's "Mormon" problem, which I personally think is more responsible than anything for Romney's low poll numbers despite massive campaign spending. I don't see that as an issue he'll be able to overcome.
