Congressional Job Approval Still Well Below Bush's

Congress continues to suffer abysmally low job approval numbers:
According to the Nov. 11-14, 2007, poll, 20% of Americans approve of the way Congress is handling its job, while 69% disapprove. Congressional job approval ratings tied their historical low point -- an 18% reading in 1992 -- in August of this year. Americans' ratings of Congress showed some improvement in the following months, reaching 29% in mid-October before falling back again this month.

For the record President Bush is at 32%.

Did you notice the slide in approval that started after mid-October? That's the same time the Harry Reid smear letter news broke when Reid attempted to use the power of Congress to punish a citizen (Rush Limbaugh) for his speech. I'm sure that whole sorry mess helped drive the approval numbers down.

Not to mention the continued useless votes to prematurely end the war...
