A world dying, but can we unite to save it?The world isn't dying. It may be changing and some changes may result in the loss of some species, but the world isn't dying. It will continue to live long after we're gone. To infer that a world without the current crop of species is a "dying" world is hyperbole at its worst.
Even if every species alive today were to vanish the world has shown a remarkable ability to adapt to new conditions and for life in some form to survive. I'm sure that had a British journalist been around when the asteroid hit that wiped out the dinosaurs he would have written the same thing.
This whole argument, generated as a result of the latest UN scare report, is being done in an effort to transfer more and more of individual nation's sovereignty to a world body like the UN, and to scare U.S. officials into going along with the ploy. I'd like to think it wouldn't work, but with the leadership in power today, it just might.
And just like clockwork, there's this:
Democratic candidates say urgent action needed on climate change
