Ebony Puts White Guy on Cover

Black-oriented magazine Ebony has a cover photo that's pretty unique for them - a white guy:

He once famously sang 'It don't matter if you're black or white' but clearly it does to Michael Jackson who appeared on the cover of a US magazine for black Americans - looking whiter than ever.

The troubled singer unveiled his startlingly pale new look on the cover of Ebony magazine in a heavily airbrushed photograph.

Jacko wears a light-coloured suit which complements his creamy complexion, and his once curly afro hair is bone straight, leaving no trace of the handsome youth who became a superstar along with his brothers in group The Jackson Five.

FYI - the paleface above used to look like this:

He was a pretty good looking kid at one time. For a number of years Disneyland had a 3-D movie attraction called Captain EO which starred Michael Jackson when he looked like the guy in the middle above. In fact, thanks to Wikipedia, here's the poster:

The ride ran from 1986 through 1997, and we went to see it right before they took it out, and at that point Jackson was already fading to white and his features were morphing all over his face. People laughed when his old image came up on the screen. Even if they didn't have a replacement attraction, Disney had to kill Captain EO lest it become a comedy attraction rather than an adventure. It had become Mr. Jackson's Wild Ride.

They better get all the photos of Jackson they can because at the rate he's going he'll be translucent pretty soon.
