This Guy Won't Be Writing Any Ballot Propositions for Awhile

I have to smile a bit at this:
Stephen G. Yagman, a pugnacious lawyer who made a career of suing the Los Angeles Police Department and other law enforcement agencies, was sentenced Tuesday to three years in federal prison for tax evasion, money laundering and bankruptcy fraud.

I can remember back in the 80's and probably the 90's it seemed that every election had ballot propositions that either tried to hamstring law enforcement, or make things tougher on criminals. Yagman's name was often found in the for/against statements included in the voter's guide. If a proposition promised to be harmful to law enforcement or generous to crooks, Yagman was always writing in favor of it (he may have even sponsored some of them). If the proposition sought to make life easier for law enforcement or tougher for the crooks, Yagman always opposed them. He hates the LAPD with a passion.

It got so I didn't even need to read the propositions to know how to vote. All I had to do was look for Yagman's statement and vote opposite the way he recommended.

Have a nice time with all those criminals you defended, Steve!
