Patti Davis is Ronald Reagan's daughter, and according to many reports that I read had a very frosty relationship with him. Her politics are pretty far left which I'm sure made for many an awkward moment on the rare occasions the two were together.
Today she offers a poorly written defense of her father and those who take his name in this current election cycle. At least that's the cover story for the Newsweek piece, which when you read past the first couple of paragraphs quickly morphs into an anti-hunting and anti-religion piece. It's clear that Miss Davis is more consumed with concern for our little woodland creatures than with the legacy of her father. Read it if you must, but be aware that were she not the leftist daughter of Ronald Reagan there's no way the magazine would have accepted such tripe on its pages.
