I was called out of semi-retirement this weekend to join several other veteran singers from Saddleback Church to perform "A King is Born", a perennial favorite during the Christmas season at the church. We sang in both services Saturday night, plus snuck down to the Singles service and sang it there too.
Sunday we sing in all four services in the main worship center - 9:00, 11:15, 4:30 and 6:30. It's loads of fun and about the only time of the year when the Saddleback crowd gets to hear an honest-to-goodness bass singer. There's nothing quite like singing to about 15,000 people in one weekend.
