Bill Clinton Wants to Redo the Late 90's

Bill Clinton has offered a remedy for global warming - slowing our economy:

In a long, and interesting speech, he characterized what the U.S. and other industrialized nations need to do to combat global warming this way: "We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions 'cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren."

Clinton has some experience with this. By mid-2000 the economy was going into a recession that he and the Dems tried to blame on President Bush, who of course didn't even enter office until January 2001.

Ol' Bubba's not really helping his wife much with comments like that. I wonder if Barack Obama might want to mention that during tonight's debate in Los Angeles?
