As Britney Spears’ self-destructive behavior has continued to escalate in recent months, The Associated Press and other news organizations are preparing obituaries for the unraveling pop star - just in case.

Usmagazine.com reported that the AP will have an obit at the ready in the event of Spears' untimely demise.

“We are not wishing it, but if Britney passed away, it’s easily one of the biggest stories in a long time,” AP entertainment editor Jesse Washington told the celeb-gossip magazine.

I fear they'll get to use it fairly soon.
